Obama, during his campaign said that US will explore alternative energy sources than depending on oil, he mention wind, solar and coal. Even president Bush had the same view but ended his 8 year tenure without doing anything. it is not so easy as it might sound since it is very capital intensive and requires a lot of research.
Obama has successfully manage to use this to bring down the the price of Oil in the international market by intensively talking about wind and solar energy and how much money the US will spend on these projects.

Don´t believe the hype.

Obama, during his campaign said that US will explore alternative energy sources than depending on oil, he mention wind, solar and coal.

As long as they can make big money on oil, they won't use any alternative way to get energy. In past, politics many times "killed" great ideas - like electric cars (

I live in Germany and I am so glad to learn, that the USA will start to share their technological power and knowledge in order to safe the planet. You can be really proud on your new president Obama. We germans already love Obama :-)

This so-acclaimed alternative sources should have been implemented since before Kyoto Summit ... I believe that now we are onto a road of no return.
Our EXISTENCE on this planet create/is an unbalance for planet itself... the fact that we developed so much is already catastrophic.
I am not a fatalist for Christ's Name but listening and watching every scientists explaining our situation at the moment I so much worry for our children future.
What's worst is that we are so many on this planet ... and so economic and socially unbalanced.. so who's making the choice ??

And also just have to mention this. I believe we can get almost infinity energy from water. Just watch in a few years time, maybe you will be able to buy one of these devices on the black marked. Already a few people got killed because of this. Just look at what happened to Stanley Meyer and his dune buggy who ran on nothing but water across all of America.. Just search youtube for Stanley Meyer

Hi. First I just have to say I saw you in Bergen,Norway, back to the 90's. That was a great show!! To bad we couldnt get past the security in the afterparty to get your autograph.

I think like the former commenter that Obama is nothing new, but just another puppet in the hand of the global elite and also the oil price is pressed down to put pressure on countries like Iran. If you look at the price we pay for the gasoline, its almost the same as before. its just the crude oil price thats gone down.

Still love you big time.
Sincerely one of your biggest fan :)

I don't know if you knew this, but Obama made a fool out of himself a few days ago. It was St Patrick's day and the Irish president was invited to the White House. Obama read the Irish president's speech. And he stumbled from time to time, not knowing why the US are... "such a small country" (whereas it refered to the Republic of Ireland).

So, even though I have supported Obama big time during his campaign, I know believe he is nothing more than Bush #2, a puppet in the hands of Secret Services.

What he promised in his campaign is one thing, what he'll do is completely different. But this is part of the political discourse and it happens everywhere. There is a big difference between words and facts. ACTION SPEAKS MUCH LOUDER THAN WORDS :-)
